Regina RICA and it’s partner Access Micro Technologies Inc (AMTI) successfully launched


First STEP (to Abundance) on February 17, 2023 in the morning at St. Joseph’s Hall, Regina RICA.

Local Superior Sr. Maureen Ava de Mesa, OP led the sisters, employees and lay partners to welcome participants and guests.

Rey Barnido, SCOPE coordinator explained the purpose of FIRST STEP as a poverty reduction program for our neighbors.

“This skills training, together with personality development, job matching and spiritual formation, will serve as your Unang Hakbang, towards a better life.”

Ms Weng, Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility of AMTI gave a motivational talk encouraging everyone to take the first step courageously. She also explained the course content.

Twenty-five participants attended the orientation.

The computer repair course will start on February 20 and will end on March 3.

Sr. Eppie Brasil, Foundress of Regina RICA, always emphasized that as followers of Jesus, Friend of the Poor, and Healer of the Broken, we offer our sacred space for poor people to find hope and healing.
