Baby At Nene: Isang Pagpupugay Sa Isang Tahimik Na Buhay

A loving tribute to SR. EPPIE and SR. MATTHEW BRASIL  on their Diamond and Emerald Jubilee as Dominican Sisters

October 8, 2022 Saturday at Regina RICA

The whole day was about faith, family, food, fun, and friendship as Sr. Eppie and Sr. Matthew held their joint Jubilee celebration to mark a milestone in their lives as Dominican Sisters. Bishops, priests, religious nuns, and the lay faithful, who were dressed in emerald and white, filled the Chapel on the Hill to begin the celebration with a Mass and Renewal of Vows.

“This is not about you, but about the God who is faithful to you,” was how the presider His Excellency Jose Cardinal Advincula described the event. A fact that both our jubilarians agreed with. But still, laughter and tears dominate the day as series of surprises greeted our two founding most senior founding members. A book launch for Sister Matthew capped a most engaging and delicious luncheon party where more than 300 people shared the meal at RICA Retreat.

The tribute in the afternoon is an expression of the love and gratitude. The Harp Concert led by Asia’s Harp Angel Noelle Cassandra serenaded and entertained the crowd. Sr. Eppie herself was a featured player and joined the other harpist in a joyful rendition of the Tiktok favourite “Wellerman”. All member organizations of CHAMP joined the tribute with songs, dances, poetry, and a surprise solo by Governor Sally Lee.

“There is no much we can say but thank you.” Sr. Eppie and Sr. Matthew said as they gave everyone their favourite gestures – a warm hug.
