Project REACH Masara of the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii for the families affected by the landslide in Masara, delivered one of its key promises yesterday July 6, 2024.
In line with its aim to Accompany IDPs towards Holistic Healing, the REACH Masara brought together ten different organizations to provide medical and dental services to adults and children.
Led by CASA ROCA Superior Sr. Mary Carmen Advincula, OP, herself a medical doctor, and ROCA Tagum, the Medical Mission brought together volunteers from eight other organizations: Philippine Medical Association, Philippine Dental Association, Philippine Pediatric Association, Soroptimists International, Fraternity of the Eagles, Philippine Red Cross, Apex Mining Corporation, and the LGU of MACO.
At least 300 patients were given medical and dental care with medicines dispensed to them.
The REACH Masara Team distributed school kits to the children in both Campo Uno and Campo Dos.
REACH Masara is in partnership with Apex Mining Corporation and A Brown Company.
