In our 10th anniversary as Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii we brought our K friends (Kariton friends – people who live in the streets in kariton, karton & kalsada) to celebrate with us. They had mass with us. They went to Mama Mary, to the kakahuyan, to mass and lunch with us. Our K friends have journeyed with us since the start of our Congregation. Some have graduated and have found work some who are too old and the too young remain under our care. They pray with us for our benefactors and mission partners.
Our K friends ministry is every Tuesday where we pray with them contemplative prayer, teach them catechism, listen to their stories, give them food & medical care.
Some would come and ask for food daily in our convent before they pick up garbage and if the sale of their garbage is not adequate at night they would come back for more food.
