RICA Ecological Sanctuary

Of the four-fold mission identity of RICA (Pilgrimage Site, Ecological Sanctuary, Wellness Center, and School of Contemplation), the RICA Ecological Sanctuary is the most obvious but the least known.

The organic gardens, the forests, the animals in the pasture land, the fowlery, and all that are part of the RICA Ecological Sanctuary.

In fact, the second most photographed at RICA, after Mama Mary, is the peacock, which belongs to the EcoSanctuary.

The organic lettuce, raised on a mountaintop farm, and fertilized by vermicast, is a symbol of RICA’s commitment to environmental protection and food security.
